Jane Cornes was born in London but don't hold that against her. She started her musical career late, after meeting Hanly at a music camp in New South Wales. She doesn't own a Scott Wise guitar but occasionally Hanly lets her touch one. In her life beyond Doris, Jane is a freelance features writer, restaurant critic, artistic director of the Nanga Music Festival and founder of the Juice creative writing retreat. She lives in Perth with her daughter, Sophie. Sometimes she cooks.s

Margie Hanly ditched her classical piano lessons at the age of 15 when she found the guitar much more to her liking. She treasures her two Scott Wise guitars (can you believe she actually WON one of them in the Fairbridge Festival raffle?!) and has recently added a Martin Backpackers guitar to her string collection. Beyond her life as half of Doris, she is a Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor. She lives in the Wheatbelt with her horses, chooks, dog - oh yeah, and her partner Bill.
